Mentors

Today, pray for those who have been instrumental in leading your spiritual growth. Then, pray for your focus on leading others spiritually.
No matter where you are in your walk with Christ, there’s always someone you can learn from and someone you can teach.

“I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.”

Encouragement

Encouragement requires empathy—seeing the world from your spouse's perspective. We must first learn what is important to them.....Only then can we give encouragement

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. http://bible.com/1/1th.5.11.kjv

Love language

It doesn’t matter that your heart is in the right place, or that you’re trying as hard as you possibly can, or that other men/women would feel lucky to have a husband/wife like you.
You will not be able to fill your spouse's love tank without using his/her primary love language.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. http://bible.com/1/1pe.4.8.kjv

Service

We are called to serve God and his people. Mostly, all the time, that service requires something more of us than we might be anticipating.

For example, God may take us out of our comfort zone; or we may have to take time out of our busy day to help someone; or he may ask us to do something difficult or physically demanding. We may never know how our faithfulness will echo into eternity, but God sees even those smallest acts of kindness and service.
And He promises to reward even a cup of cold water in his name (see Matthew 10:24; Mark 9:41).
