Prayer

With evil all around, God wants to remind you to cover your family in prayer. 

Don’t take for granted that you belong to God. 

Don’t take for granted that you are redeemed. The devil is working overtime to try to derail God’s people and throw your family off course, but you can stop him in his tracks by covering your family in prayer. 

Cover your husband. 

Cover your children. 

Cover your marriage. 

You are in this world, but you are not of it. There is a plan and purpose God has for your family unit, and if you stay aligned with God’s will, He will make your family unstoppable. 

You will reach God’s destination. You are the builder in your home. 

No weapon formed against you, your children or your marriage will prosper when you are covered.

Build

Build your relationships on God, the solid rock and His perfect truth.... In love, hope ad faith 

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Promise

That's a promise....

Imitate

Parenting with respect not only shows a child how deeply we value them, but the need to respect others as well. 

Today, ask God to help you model a life worth imitating. 

Growth

Parents, God has given you the responsibility of raising kids who can stand on their own two feet. 

So when the time comes that your child becomes more independent, .... take heart. 

It doesn’t mean they don’t love you. It simply means they’re developing as God designed them to. 

They’re spreading their wings into adulthood to live a happy, successful life on their own. 

Let them grow ;)

Tough times

One of the tough parts of being a parent is knowing we can’t rescue our children from every difficulty in life. Sometimes the pain they suffer has to be their own. 

In those times, what we can do is walk with them in their suffering and, with God’s grace, see them through it. 

Even if the burden is theirs to carry, they don’t have to face it alone.

Responsibility

As parents, we occupy a throne in the sense that God has given us a position of authority in our kids’ lives. It’s crucial that we don’t renounce that influence. 

Children don’t need us to be their friend – someone telling them what they want to hear. They need a parent – an authority figure willing to speak truth into their lives.

We should, of course, listen to our children and give their views careful consideration, but our kids should not be allowed to run the home. That’s our God-given responsibility. 

Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.

Building

Raising children rarely happens in a straight line, especially when it feels as though we’re being buffeted by a culture threatening to knock our family off course. It can certainly be a daunting challenge. 

And that’s why strong parenting requires routine adjustments in light of a child’s development and maturity. We may need to tweak our approach as the child’s school environment changes, their social values blossom, or in response to the ever-changing influences of the entertainment world. 

And through it all, turn to God and ask for His help and wisdom.

Bless, not curse

God tells us to bless our enemies. To bless someone means to speak well of them and want good things for them. 

Refuse to talk unkindly about those who hurt you. It's a choice

Don’t keep talking about what your enemies did; it only keeps the pain stirred up in you. It's also a choice

Choose to bless them, not curse them 

Confess

Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.

Wise timing

We need to teach and show our children on using our time wisely, choosing to give the best part of our day to spend time with God. 

The Word encourages us to be prepared, saying, "Hear counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction, that you may be wise in the time to come" (Proverbs 19:20). 

Starting your day with God's instruction will keep you walking in wisdom, making the most of your time

Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

No fear

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

Learning about and receiving the unconditional love of God is what sets us free from fear. Nothing else will! “Perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18 NASB). Only God has perfect love, and it can be yours by faith.

Faith expresses itself in love (see Galatians 5:6). How can we put our trust in God if we are not convinced He loves us at all times? Take God at His Word and begin to receive His love for you, which will set you free from all fear.

Power Thought: God’s love for me is perfect and unconditional; I have no fear.

See beyond

Lord, help us to see beyond our narrow limitations for people. We want to see what You see in them, but we will never see it without Your touch. Amen.

Man vs. Woman

The Bible encourages us to seek understanding. Read a couple of good books on the differences between men and women and also one on the differences in personalities. If you do, it may prevent thousands of arguments or misunderstandings. 

Women offer unsolicited advice and give direction, and men usually don't take advice very well. The woman thinks she is just trying to help, but the man thinks she doesn't trust him to make the right decision. 

When a woman disagrees with a man, he takes it as disapproval, and it ignites his defenses. Men only want advice after they have done everything they can do. Advice given too soon or too often causes him to lose his sense of power. He may become lazy or insecure. 

Faithful

Throughout life, God will bless you with an infinite amount of resources. You will be blessed with only so much money, time, assets and talents. 

With each blessing God has given you, He expects you to be a good steward of what He has blessed you with.

Be faithful with the little...

Enough

The true way to conquer finances is first to get a handle on it all. 

1 Corinthians 14:40 reminds us that everything we do must be done not only decently but in order. 

Throughout the Bible, you will see Jesus Christ of Nazareth performed all things decently and in order. Nothing shows us this better than the passage Mark 6:30-44. We see that even before He turned five loaves of bread and two fish into a sufficient amount to feed thousands, He first organized the people.

Instruction

Ever wonder how it feels to play a game that doesn't come with instructions OR the instructions aren't read to you? Hence, you not knowing what to do....

When we're frustrated or confused, we often feel hopeless. On the other hand, understanding makes us feel hopeful, and hope changes our attitude toward our circumstance. 

When we're confused or discouraged, we can find understanding by turning to God's Word (our instruction guide, manual, blueprint). The Bible shows us the right way to live and reminds us that God is in control of our lives. His Word gives us confidence and builds our hope (Romans 15:4). 

Tithing

Deciding to trust God with your finances requires a faithful commitment to God. It means even when your change is “strange” you will still commit to what God has already instructed you to do.

Of course, when you decide to tithe and really trust God, there will be distractions that get you off track. But warning – this is only a test! ..... Stay true to your commitment and you will see God’s blessings in your life.

Perfect world...

Sometimes, to think that God has a perfect plan for us, can be mind-blowing.

Perhaps it's the word "perfect" that troubles us. We're fallible and make so many mistakes. How could anything be perfect in our lives? We know ourselves too well and we Immediately think of our shortcomings and shake our heads. 

That's a trick of Satan! The plan isn't perfect because we're perfect; the plan is perfect because God is perfect. God has a special plan for each of our lives. 

The right choice

God has given us the power to decide--to choose right thinking over wrong. But once we make that choice, we must continue to choose right thoughts. It's not a once-and-for-all decision, but it does get easier. 

The more we fill our lives with reading the Bible, prayer, praise, and fellowship with other believers, the easier it is for us to continue choosing right thoughts. 

It takes time to learn to choose good and push away evil. It won't be easy, but we're moving in the right direction every time we take responsibility and make the right choices. 

Decision

Imagine being this young, and making a conscious focused decision to serve and follow God all your life.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

Gentle

Great read....

We can all change the way we walk through life with focus. You choose whether to pound your way through life making sure everyone hears the rhythm of your being or you can walk with grace, control, and power. 

You can loudly make your presence known by the choices you make and by rehearsing your pain or you can choose to be gentle and peaceful. 

In the same respect, you can choose to be gentle or rough in your daily dealings with people. 

Regardless of your personality type, your ethnic background, or your family heritage, make a choice to be a gentle person. 

Gentleness always cultivates strength and beauty in the heart of a believer. If gentleness is a challenging virtue to uphold, then spend time with some compassionate and considerate people and then observe how they respond to others. 

Peace

God longs for you to embrace God’s peace, which declares, “There is nothing to fear. I have been to your future and it is well. I am there.”

That is very comforting ..  

The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

Friendships

When you go through disappointment or crisis or loss is when you need your friends the most. You need to accept help from others. 

God doesn’t intend for you to handle all the pain and stress in your life by yourself. We were wired for each other. We need each other. We’re social beings. 

The first thing God said in the Garden of Eden is, “It’s not good for man to be alone.” We’re made to be in relationships. 

Job 6:14 says, “When desperate people give up on God Almighty, their friends, at least, should stick with them” (MSG).

Prayer

This week, during your prayer time, ask God to give you divine appointments. 

Ask God to “set you up” with people who need a friend or need practical help. 

Ask God to give you creative ideas on exactly how to love those around you, especially those situations that are most difficult to show love in.

Replica

The Bible teaches us that God’s promises promise that we can share in God’s very own nature. 

We can savor all He is and then marinate in it to the extent that we become it! 

We have the potential and are positioned to ingest His very personality and exhibit His very character. Our lives become a place of demonstration of His fruit and His power. We are no longer like what we know.... because of the promises ... We are now like Him.

Wait on God

As women, sometimes we like to take matters into our own hands. 

We all can picture times in your own life when this has been an absolute fact! We get anxious, our toes start tapping and the clock gets ticking as we wait for someone, anyone, to do something about something. We want action, on our own terms, and we want it now. 

Such striving can sometimes cause unintended consequences. It can also wear us out and keep us from all the richness of God’s blessings ..... because we’re not resting fully in His power and His timing.

Ladies, we have to learn to wait AND truly wait ;)

Yes, Lord

Obedient servant. 

Restless waiter and muddler of His plans. Living proof of God’s redemption, His sovereignty and His working of miracles. 

Genesis 11&12 - When Abraham told her they were going to move, and she was going to have a child in her old age (both, by God's prophetic word); Sarai didn’t have questions. She didn’t furrow her brow. She didn’t come unglued.

She simply obeyed.

She simply said, “Yes.”

Lord, help us put our doubts aside, to answer your call no matter the questions we may have.  May we make obedience our first priority and submit to Your plan and rest in Your faithfulness.  Out of the greatest and deepest of loves, let us say “yes” today.

The three and one

Many people have received Jesus as their Savior and Lord. They will go to heaven, but will never draw on the full capacity of the Holy Spirit that is available to them or experience the true success God wants them to enjoy while here on Earth. 

Simply put, many will be on their way to heaven, but they won't enjoy the trip. 

Learn to depend completely on God the Father, Jesus the son, and the comforting power of the Holy Spirit. 

Bitterness

If you get hurt, don't ever blame God. He is the best friend you have. 

Bitterness Hinders Hearing 

Bitterness toward God is a sure hindrance to hearing His voice. Any-time bitterness tries to take hold of you, rebuke and refuse it. 

Many times, the devil tries to make us think we are the only ones having a hard time but remember, no matter how bad our problems are, someone else always has a worse problem.  If someone makes a choice that hurts us, we shouldn't blame it on God and become bitter toward Him. 

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

A friend

Teach the young ones to develop a friend relationship with God.

God wants to be a friend, where He wants to speak to them and to listen to what they have to say to Him. 

Always available

The fact that the Holy Spirit lives inside of us proves His willingness to always be available to speak to us and help us when we need Him. As we continue to grow spiritually, we will experience temptation, but God has given us the Holy Spirit to enable us to resist it and make right choices instead of wrong ones. 

Nevertheless, no human being is perfect and we will make mistakes. But God's forgiveness is always available to us through Jesus Christ. Receiving this forgiveness strengthens us and enables us to keep moving forward with God. It also puts our hearts at peace, sets us free, and helps us hear God's voice clearly. 

Feeling defeated and condemned by every mistake we make weakens us. Instead of using our energy to feel bad about ourselves, we should use it to make sure our hearts are tuned to God's voice as He leads us into greater strength and deeper relationship with Himself. His forgiveness and His presence are always available to us through the Holy Spirit. As you seek God today, I encourage you to receive His love and mercy. His arms are open and He is waiting to spend time with you. 

God's word for you today: Remember that the Holy Spirit is always available to you.

Meditate on a time when your faith has grown. What was it that helped you grow in your faith at that particular time? Remember how great God's peace felt also??

Family

Families are made up of people with different personalities and emotions. Sometimes family members feel happy, and other times they feel angry. How a person is feeling should not change a family's peaceful home. Romans 12:18 says, "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." This includes the members of your family. 

God speaks

God Speaks in Many Ways. God declares that He speaks, and when He does, He speaks in righteousness. We can always depend on what He says to be right. 

God speaks to us in many ways that include but are not limited to: His Word, nature, people, circumstances, peace, wisdom, supernatural intervention, dreams, visions, and what some call "the inner witness," or the "still small voice" which is best described as a "knowing" deep inside our hearts. 

God also speaks through the conscience, through our desires, and in an audible voice, but always remember that when He speaks, what He says is always right and it never disagrees with His written Word. 

I want to encourage you to ask God to help you hear His voice in any way He chooses to speak to you. He loves you; He has good plans for your life; and He wants to talk to you about these things.

Redemption

Today, reflect on the redemptive power of God's forgiveness. 

There is nothing more powerful, faithful, sacrificial, and life changing than the forgiveness God has given you through His son Jesus Christ.

Completely forget your old life and meditate on the life change you experienced through God's forgiveness. 

Praise God and thank Him for new life in Christ.

Refuge

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust - Psalm.91:1

This is a Psalm about God's faithfulness and God as our refuge, He is our fortress, He saves us, and He protects us. 

God is always faithful no matter the circumstances. He is there when times are good and when times are not so good. He is even there when you don't feel like He is. 

Everybody's journey in life is different as they grow in Christ, but God's faithfulness is always the same. 

Thank God for His faithfulness and take comfort in knowing He will always be there for you.

Mindset

In everything you set your mind into, always have a foundation and know where your source is. There will come a time in that season where you will need strength, favor, grace, endurance etc...and if your hope and faith is fixed in the right direction, you will come through victoriously. 

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ - Philippians 1: 6

Lessons

We, as humans are placed in peoples lives for reasons and seasons. While we are in their "space", we need to be better at exercising grace and mercy; showing the compassion of God....and not being judgemental, all in the name of having the power to say "I told you so".

Every single one of us have our own challenges that we face and each comes with it's own length of days. Hopefully, at the end of it, we gain lessons learned. 

Service

Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Miracle

And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. It is natural to think about ourselves first BUT there are lots of people out there who are helpless, need assistance, are without monetary support, unable to cope with a loss, need mentoring, needs motivation to keep on keeping on 

We are only able to offer ourselves to others when we stop, listen to what's happening around us, pay attention to others' needs, give what we have etc

That's what life's about; because once upon a time, you needed someone too and they were there. 

Moving forward

In order to move on, you must understand why you felt what you felt and why you no longer need to feel it. Knowing that what's done is done and what's gone is gone. 

It’s okay to look back and think of fond memories but keep moving forward. 

Moving on doesn’t mean you forget about things, it just means you have to accept what happened and continue living.

And if it's about someone....just because you miss them doesn’t mean you need them back in your life. Missing is just a part of moving on.

Always remember that once you’ve made the decision to move on and forward, looking back in regret is neither healthy nor helpful. You will never find your future in the rear view mirror. 

Tell....

It's always like this: when God performs a miracle and makes an impossible situation possible, He always says to go tell......

There are people in your sphere of influence that are/were fully aware of what hardship you faced or trial you suffered or situation you are in.

It is exactly what to do when He saves you from the situation, for you to give the entire glory to Him. Why? Because it draws all men unto Him. 

Pay it forward

I was at Starbucks yesterday and the person in front of me at the drive thru paid for half of my order. 

I returned the favor to the order of the person behind me.

Apparently, at that particular location, the act of "paying it forward" was going on all day.

Think you can do something similar? 

Passing through

You may think that in life, a lot of things happen to you along the way. The truth is, in life, you happen to a lot of things along the way - unlisted 

If this is true, then what lasting impacts are we making? 

Covenant

Start every relationship in God, keep it grounded in His word, allow Him to guide you, call on Him when help is needed, place Him at every corner, nook and area of your covenant. 

But remember, both of you have to surrender to this way or a solo battle will be very lonely and difficult to fight. 

Overcoming

Overcoming evil with good is going above and beyond for someone when the world expects you to react in your carnal nature.....especially when it's someone that has wronged you and hasn't been remorseful yet....

Yes, them.....be good to them anyway....because the bible tells us so.  

Pride

I was watching a movie yesterday and heard this quote "your pride is depriving the very possibility of God doing something in your life".

That is so true!!! 

We have made ourselves believe that we can do all things in our strength. We've taken so many classes, we have so many degrees under our belts, lots of letters at the end of our titles, read lots of books etc... And somehow, these things have puffed us up to a fake self-confidence that we no longer need God's help.

Lord help us that our pride doesn't bring us to a fall. 

Where it lay....

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay - Matt 28:6

For some of us, it's not believable enough to hear that God has done something big and miraculous; for some reason, we also want the full evidence of it. We want to see it, so that we know that we know that we know that it absolutely, really is a divine miracle.

Lord, help us to believe as we hear and take your word for what it is; without doubt, reservation or additional confirmation.

Thoughts

Every mind idea eventually leads to somewhere. It is our responsibility to steer it towards the right path. 

It is extremely important that our thoughts are clean, safe, creative and productive; as one day, they may need to be translated into a series of actions.

Follow instruction

We see in the book of Exodus where God instructed Moses on how to build the Tabernacle. Though the details were extremely precise, Moses did exactly as he was instructed. He didn't add to it or take anything from it...and as a result, the very intention of God, the architect, which was a place o worship and the fullness of His glory was always in the Tabernacle. 

May we be like so. Where we don't try to alter the work of God...where we believe and take it for what it is.... Always! 

Anxiety

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - http://bible.com/1/php.4.6.kjv

It is difficult because we are human but we are in this world but not of it. In that knowledge, we do not wrestle with worldly systems and practices but we pray unto our Father for divine wisdom; we do not worry about tomorrow's provision but we giveback what we have of our hearts and allow God to provide for us what we need. 

Anxiety is not of God, trust is! 

A true friend vs an associate

Friendship is one of the most valuable assets one can have.  The bible states in Proverbs 18:24 that "there exists a friend sticking closer than a brother". It also shares that "bad associations spoil useful habits" in 1 Corinthians 15:33.  So, what is the difference between a true friend and an associate?  Should your mate be your friend first?  Do you know how to make and keep a good friend?  If you are young should your parents have a say in who you are friends with?  Are you friends with someone for the right reasons?  Are you friend worthy?  And are your friends worth having?  Tough but real questions. Definitely worth pondering on....

Hardwork

Work Ethic seems to be universally accepted as one of the most important factors contributing to one’s success. The harder you work – the more successful you’ll be. “Do a bunch by lunch…be a winner by dinner!” ~ Unknown.

And in this day and age, with so many things spiraling out of control and leaving us in tougher and tougher economic situations, it can feel good to get a grip and take charge over at least one aspect of our current situation that can have a significant impact on our future success. Although not necessarily easy to control, with the right mindset, and the right map, you’re sure to get to where you want to be a lot faster than from laying down, eating leftovers, and watching your favorite TV shows. 

Remember, “The most practical, beautiful, workable philosophy in the world won’t work – if you won’t.” ~ Unknown.

We’re not saying that breaks are bad. But, when you can align your life passion with purpose and persistence, the lines between ‘working’ and ‘playing’ dissolve and become one ever flowing part of your life. 

Find your passion, work extraordinarily hard on it (without really ‘working’), and take control of your future successes! 

Encourage

Make it a daily act to encourage at least one person. You never know what the person next to you is searching for. You never know what a little bit of encouragement, mercy, favor, grace can do for a person in desperate need.

Proud

Don't be ashamed of who God has called you to be. Don't hide behind it, don't water it down and definitely don't had suppress it.

Be proud of the work God has done in you and do your best to be confident in it 

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is when you take something someone has done to you and you crumble it up like a piece of paper and you throw it in the garbage - just as The Lord does with us. 

He never speaks of it again, never brings it up again, doesn't torment us with it.... He truly absolutely totale really forgets it.

Blessing

I encourage you to bless The Lord at all times. Let His praise and worship be continually in your mouth.

When things aren't going well, when things are great, when it all doesn't make any sense whatsoever..... try worshipping. Not just for what He can do (which He can and will) BUT for who He is (which He forever will be. 

Our Great Counselor who is also the Prince of Peace; a Lover of our souls and a Friend that's Mighty to save; He has Compassion and is a Strong tower; He is Worthy, Righteous and the Holy One; the Everlasting Father AND in all His deity, He still hears me whenever I call.

Now, that's love! 

Big and small

What are you believing God for? How big is it and how many little beginnings are you willing to put in? 

It's ok to think big but we all have to start somewhere....small.

You may know where you want to be in a year, five or ten years BUT it doesn't mean you are ready for that promise - you still have to go through the process.

Dive in and enjoy your small beginnings. They'll get you somewhere big....soon 

Trust

I remember an old worship song we used to sing "when Jesus says yes, nobody can say no". We literally sang that line over and over and over again, for as long as we wanted to. Back then, while that sounded extremely repetitious, it was and still is totally worth reminding! 

Jesus has the final say! 

Fight

Know in your heart that every battle or stronghold you face, fight, fear or win is not carnal. 

(For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places Eph.6.12.)

With that understanding, fight not with the carnal but with your spiritual strength. Pray, fast, seek counsel, hear and listen to what God has to say over you and your situation AND let that and that alone be the roadmap to your victory.

Commit

Commit yourself unto God daily. Set yourself apart from evil and wrongdoings. Make it a plan to do what is right and protect what is good.

Remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made; therefore, be of good behavior.

Abstain from fleshly desires that only lead you to destruction. Those momentary desires will fade away but heavenly blessings are everlasting.

Blessed

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Character

It's pleasing to the heart to know that God's promises are yes and amen.

When He makes a promise, He keeps it. 

What about us? When we make a commitment to God, friends, family, neighbors and colleagues, can we be trusted to keep our word? 

Not only is this a trust issue, it also speaks of our character. Say what we mean, mean what we say, stand by our word, deliver as promised, be a good stewart, etc. 

Remember that we always leave an impression. So, choose what kind we will like to leave behind 

Your work

Whatsoever you desire to create with your own hands; or showcase of your work; or present as your passion, do it with great preparation, practice and timing. 

Knowing that your handprint, your reputation, your legacy will be tested, and tried; present with excellence!

Happy New Year Righteous Woman!

Take today as a brand new day, and not necessarily a brand new year. Stay focused as you always have. Don't drag your emotions into setting unrealistic goals and unattainable resolutions...all in the name of a new year.

I encourage you to take this day as another day and seek God with all your heart. Go after His will, direction and way; and trust that He will carry you through it all.
